New Zealand Landscapes Timelapse Volume Two

This timelapse features my best work yet. It represents hours and hours of dedication to the art.

I'm driven by chasing fleeting moments of damatic light on beautiful landscapes and also capturing the night sky and milky way in all it's glory is a real buzz.

Not be mention curling up out under the stars beside all the gear for whole nights at a time catching some sleep here and there between checking the gear and changing batteries and staring up into eternity with spectacular meteors burning up in the cosmic shore out the corner of your eye.

Doing this sort of thing has bought me closer and closer to the wilderness. There is something about doing this sort of stuff that just makes you want to keep coming back for more and more.

Maybe it's the experience of being out there at one with the incredible beauty of this landscape. Maybe it's the challenge of capturing it in the camera in the way that you witnessed it.

Maybe it's the excitement of seeing just what you got when you finally render it all out. Maybe it's the satisfaction you get out of showing this to other people. Most probably it's a combination of all these things.

Litchfield National Park - Darwin, Australia

A short video documentary of Litchfield National Park which is about two hours drive from Darwin in the Northern Territory, Australia.

It is a place of great natural beauty where visitors can not only enjoy the sights as most waterholes are also open for swimming. The cool waters are a refreshing break from the heat of the sun.

New Zealand Landscapes - 1

Shot over the last couple of months mostly in and around the volcanic plateau of the central North Island of New Zealand in the Tongariro National Park World Heritage Area.

A culmination of thousands of still frames, some long cold nights and early mornings out under the beautiful southern hemisphere skies of New Zealand

New Zealand Landscapes Time Lapse Volume 3

It's easy to forget what lies just beyond your back door step sometimes.

In the last 6 months I've struggled to make it anywhere near the New Zealand wilderness landscapes that I just love to venture into with a few survival essentials and the usual gear - my cameras, tripods, batteries, dew straps, lenses, slider rigs, panning heads etc etc strapped to my back in search of some cool places and the angles to compose them and the light to showcase them.

In the hard to reach places sometimes capturing just 20 seconds of time lapse footage takes months of waiting and a lot of planning. When your out all alone in the remote areas the reality of life is broken down into very simple things.

Staring up into the infinity of a clear star filled sky, in a half sleep state, and as the frost starts to settle, all there is to worry about is that your sleeping bag is warm enough, the fire is not going to die, the camera shutters are still going click click every 30 sec or so, that the lens heaters are stopping your lenses from fogging up - not complicated - pretty simple really - pretty easy to be happy.

The Alps

I spent 3 weeks travelling across the Alps, in France, Italy, Switzerland, Austria and Germany.

This video presents the amazing places and landscapes I discovered along the journey.

Welcome to some of the most beautiful lakes and mountains in the world...

Finland

I've witnessed the diversity and immense beauty of this land from the very north all the way to the southern parts, yet every time I set off I'm in awe.

Finland never ceases to amaze me, and so, Iím truly honored and blessed to call this country my home.

This journey was more than a timelapse project. I could go on and on ecstatically about what I experienced during the 8500 kilometers on the road.

As I carried the burden of impending schoolwork, I had to make the most out of my time, while fulfilling my dream. It meant that the three months spent with the project were momentous.
