Why do Muslim women wear the hijab?

Covering up is also in the Catholic faith. No image of Mary, the mother of Jesus, exists without her covering

Interview with Sarah Joseph on Reverts in the UK

A new report says that up to 10,0000 Muslim converts are living in the UK, with white women leading the growing number of people embracing Islam.

The finding comes at a time where polls suggest that more than half the British public believe Islam to be a negative influence, yet people are still choosing to become Muslim.

To find out why, Nina Arif spoke to the CEO and editor of Emel magazine Sarah Joseph, who herself is a convert

Does the hijab prevent women from contributing to society?

Sarah Joseph says that it is not the role of the state to forbid freedom of expression through clothing, and it is time to stop playing politics with women's bodies.

Connection Lost - Part 2

Connected to Our Prophet

Our connection to mercy is our connection to the Prophet (peace be upon him) because he came as a mercy to mankind, not as a mercy to the Muslims...
