Canadas parliament both houses, has voted to repeal Canadas blasphemy law. The only remaining step is the formality of the "royal assent" from the Governor General of Canada, the person who does the head of state duties when Queen Elizabeth is not in Canada. This action will deprive Islamic states of being able to say "why are you picking our blasphemy laws? Canada has a blasphemy law doesn't it"? Hooray for Canada for stepping into the 20th century.

I wasn't even aware that Canada had a blasphemy law. Some states in the US still have blasphemy laws, which shocks me: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blasphemy_law_in_the_United_States

Therefore anyone who sets aside one of the least of these commands and teaches others accordingly will be called least in the kingdom of heaven

Obviously they did have one otherwise why would Canada's parliament repeal it?

That's my point - I wasn't even aware they had one in the first place and I only became aware of it due to the nation repealing it...
